Hi everybody,

Like Morback and Hypnotic, i'm a french user. We all come from a french forum, http://www.citroen-compactes.com.

That forum is dedicated to all cars built by Citroen in the same category as the ZX. So our registered users usually own ZX but Xsara and the "new" C4 too.

We disovered your forum a few days ago and, even if there is a language frontier between us, I would enjoy discussing here, doing all that I can to write an understandable english. Whereas for the Dutch, it won't be possible sorry !

Concerning me, I own a ZX 16V model solt in 1996, 150hp engine. I'll post photos and more in a future post !

Thanks for visiting our website (for those who french language doesn't impress :D ) and don't hesitate to correct me for any language mistake.

Welcome, French friends! I come from a Brazilian PSA forum, www.citroenmotorsport.com.br

like yours the members have different PSA cars, like Peugeot 306, Citroen ZX, Xsara, Xantia...

but in this forum I cannot hesitate: I am a proudly owner of a ZX 16V, and only after buying the car I could understand that is a special car 8)

I'm right prepared... well I think so...

But, please, I will invite you to avoid SMS language in English because we, french users, won't understand anything !

So, if questions are asked to me, I'll be glad to answer !

Don't hesitate !

PS : 2 photos of my car, sorry it's really dirty; it was the day I bought it and I didn't washed it yet :

I already took a sponge to clean it.... but paint seems to go away with dirt... Joking, juste on the right front "wing ?" (in french we just say "aile") because it has been bad repainted I think. I'll care about this during summer.

In fact, it's 3cm lowered both front and rear.

If I had to do, I think I wouldn't.

Lowering is not so great. I would summarize this way :

Positive points :

- Better "grip", front wheels seems to go like a train on rails.
- Greatly improve car's look and sportivity.

Negative points :

- Lots of "strange" noises in the car.
- Be careful to holes and jumps on the road, the car won't support it, your butt too.
- Fastest supensions death, and all that go from engine to wheels, the same.

Sorry, I don't know the englishes words for "rotules" etc.
