A friend in need is asking.

His rear suspension on a 92` 309 GTI 16v is stuck.
He got a used 89`309 GTI 8v rear suspension from a yard and found out that it has a totaly different bolt in arrangement.

So does anyone know if the late 92` 309 GTI 16v has the same rear suspension as the zx, 306 and Xsara?

He needs to get the car on the road.

Thank you so much for helping.

Looked at it tonight and it looked almost the same but not quite the torsion bar par looks the same but the part bolted on that sticks backwards were the shocks are mounted are not the same.

It also has double load brake regulators.

Does anyone have a good image of the rear suspension on the ZX 16v?

Need it to compare.

Thanks a lot for helping.

Erik

I can make some pics this saturday if you still need them. I also think that it doesn't fit.

Just talked to a company in UK.
http://www.wmmotorsport.com

309 has the same rear axel construction as the 205 only wider.

That mean we can get parts to fix it.
So get out the BIG hammer and tear it down...

Thanks for the help.

Erik

it will fit but the 306 had load compensators that zx didnt and the 306 had larger anti roll bars and torsion bars you can make it fit the mountings are essentially the same

At least I know that the model Citroen zx volcane 2.0 8v shares everything with the Peugeot 306 model xsi 2.0 8v
so that if you served the suspension, I have spirals of 306 posts in my volcane 2.0
both are shared chassis and engines xu10j2c too.
I hope you serve something
