The head is off the 16v.

What I could do with is a top inner cambelt cover (go's behind the camshaft pulleys)

Certain parts are a bit tricky to come by for the 16v, i' m not sure on engine parts ( would a xsara vts one fit ?) , I did even consider buying a car for spares but the wife wouldn't wear that , there's one on eBay at the minute at £395 I think but I don't think I would have the heart to break one of these unless it was completely rotten which is not something you see alot on the Zx , Mark

bad news generally for me, but good news for the 16v....

The diesel threw a rod out on saturday, so now it's a mad rush to get the 16v ready so I can drive home for xmas (370 mile drive each way)

What is the plan for the diesel??? You don't want to fix it?

(you can start your own topic in show your zx) :!:

What will you do with the diesel volcane ? Looks too nice to break or is it a job for the future , Mark

The diesel will get a rebuilt engine.... (eventually)

Good and bad news with the 16v, Head is back (fitting asap). Bad news the rust hole on the rear jacking pad is an mot failure, so as soon as engines done will have to find someone to quickly weld it up. (just to get it though this mot).

(will do a project thread when i get a sec)

good to see some more things happening. at least your not getting rid of the car and getting a new engine. we have stopped on our zx for the winter, but i think my mates starting on stripping on the dash in preperation for the heater matrix to be put in. as we dont intend to rush with the car we dont mind taking time doing things. but its also good to see many other things going on here with your cars. ive also seen another zx 16v for sale and a little tempted to sell my saxo and get it, but dont know if i could do it as i like my saxo. oh the bloody decisions.

As I said I rang for it in august/September before I got mine , the owner says they have spent a few quid on it , they have had it about 5yrs , they also have a full spare bodykit/bumpers too and the original wheels , I never went to look at it because of the distance but it sounds a nice one , I got mine from over on the Wirral and payed good money for her but with only 1 owner from new and full leather and every bill and invoice with it the seller knew what he had got and I didn't want to risk losing it , around august time there were actually four listed on pistonheads for sale varying in price from £400 to £1300 , I can't imagine seeing that number for sale again given that there are only 34 left , there's also one on eBay for about £395 ish which the owner wants to sell for the engine alone , go on buy another I would if I had the space , keep us all updated , Mark
