The turbo project hasn't got much time the last couple of months, but I did check/measured up the MI16 crankcase and decided to ditch it. The case and the liners are in need of a skim to get the protrusion right. Not every engine builder is (really) capable of doing so and as a results the costs of this operation just isn't worth it. So back to a good old iron S16 block with an XU10J2 head. Only in need of some pistons and a rebore or a good block(no lip!) as my old xu10j2te pistons are still in good condition. |
