Back in March I drove my car to the tinsmith / painter and there is performed complete overhaul of the bodywork, chassis and profiles conservation and some painting. After careful inspection, I decided that I will changed thresholds, if necessary repaired floor and all other corroded areas. The work was started by exchange thresholds, new one with a thickness of 0.8. Prior to founding were electro-galvanized. Rusty pieces around the drains have been cut and welded new plates, the same like the closed sections of the front, wheel arches and a place to lift the car. Sheets were covered with wash primer. Auto at the moment is already prepared for painting and maintenance. Disassembled the fuel tank and fuel, brake lines under the car. |

That is going to be one pristine Zx16v when you're finished. I applaud you as many would have not took on that amount of work. Mark |

I have ordered them from specialized manufacturer but they are dedicated for standard ZX which means that they need some modification. |

I received the car. I'm happy, summarizing metalwork done in a much wider range than I expected. Before me now a lot of work: soundproofing, interior, installation of strips. I miss cufflinks threshold strips. If anyone has a proven replacement please let me know. |

Some time ago we had been celebrating because ZX had eighteenth birthday. He pulled out the tape 1st of June 1996. The long weekend was very busy. I took care of the interior of the car. At the beginning I put new cables for additional equipment and the old wires have been holded in brackets. I have laundered the carpet and after that prepared new soundproofing. I bought dedicated material which here is called poroso and cut it by design. Please see pictures. |

You can see effects of chassis conservation. The next stage is the installation of the wheel arches. Front are original + replacements, rear wheel arches comes from Peugeot 306. Partially I have already mount a side moldings. |
