Hi all! I have just bought my first ZX16V.. I owned a ZX a few years ago. It was only a 1.4 elation, but it was so much fun to drive and they stick to the road like glue. Ever since I have been looking for a 16V for sale but they are so rare in the UK. There are only about 80 left on the road. So when one came up for sale 10 miles away I snapped it up!
She is pretty much perfect inside and out and hasn't been abused. Everything is original apart from a K&N filter.

Can anyone recommend any small things I can change to increase performance. It's a fun car to drive but the 155bhp engines are a bit sluggish in the lower revs. Would a decent ECU remap help much?

White rules !
There are no cheap gains I'm affraid.. couple of cams might help but no lowrange torque. Its not a Diesel ;)

Thanks guys! I've got big love for this car. Get comments all the time from petrol heads.
marcinmrc, thanks for the advice. I'm no mechanic and wouldn't know how to check for faults in the ACAV system. Are there any easy checks or is it a garage job?

definitely make sure the ACAV is working.

no point in a remap till you've changed the cams.

also, these are in no way gutless low down, but its the way they come on song so hard above 4k that they feel like it.
